Things that disturb consultants when it comes to SMEs

3 things that perturb me as a consultant when going about my job

1. A person running a business with a turnover of more than 500,000 per month and they have not formally registered it. To make it worse, they have a trading name (not registered), a website with the unregistered name, and sometimes even letterheads and stamps! Very disturbing!
How do you invest so much in a business that is not registered?

Funny enough, the reason why they booked the business clinic session is not to formalize the business but to scale up!

Scale up a business that is not registered??

2. A person running a business with a zero clue on their Tax obligations and compliance timelines
I have met many entrepreneurs running businesses with turnovers of above Kes1 million per month who have more than 10 employees but have zero clue on their tax obligations, let alone how they can save on taxes !

3. A businessperson running a business without records yet they want you to help them manage their finances and optimize on their profit equation!

How can you manage your finances without bookkeeping?

Sad to say, most entrepreneurs don’t know the value of records or books, and they are unwilling to invest in them.

There are many gaps I find and get moved greatly, but the 3 tops

Are you a victim of the above 3 gaps?
